Collaborating companies
What does it mean to be a Collaborating Company of the Foundation?
Collaborating companies (donors or patrons) with the Foundation, are entities committed to the Care of Dependent Seniors, with their families and their carers. We are a private and independent Foundation and our activity is not conditioned by funds from public institutions, so Individuals and Companies contribute essentially to the continued help of the elderly, so that they have Active aging and Dependents received better care from their carers and family so that they have a better quality of life.
Furthermore, these partnerships form part of the companies commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), published by the UN within the 2030 Agenda. Especially with SGD 3, ensuring healthy living and promoting the wellbeing of all at all ages, SGD 10, reducing inequalities and SGD 17, partnerships to achieve goals.
What are the advantages of being a Collaborative Company of the Foundation?
The biggest advantage is the satisfaction of helping the Elderly who need it. Furthermore, the representation of the Collaborative Company forms a part of the Advisory Board of the Foundation; the Foundation will issue to the Collaborating Company the accredition of SOCIAL SME; the Company can be taxed 35% of the amounts contributed; the Foundation will mention Collaborative Companies in communication campaigns; and may use the SOCIAL SME brand at headquarters or with clients.
In what does the Foundation invest the money that the Collaborative Companies provide?
The entire amount contributed by the Donor Companies is dedicated exclusively to the SOCIAL SME project: SPONSOR AN ELDERLY. The money that each company contributes is intended to offer a specific service to a specific person, who has some therapeutic need and does not have the economic resources to pay for them. The donor company can propose the person that they want to sponsor.
How and when will I be informed of the actions that are made with my donations?
The Foundation regularly reports on all the collective activities that are being carried out with its contributions. Donor companies sponsoring an elderly are informed with the previously agreed periodicity about the progress or status of the sponsored person.
What should I do to tax off my donation in Company Tax?
Financial aid shall be considered deductible expenditure on the corporate tax base. At the start of the year we communicated to the Treasury all the donations received during the prior year that can be up to 35% of the amount contributed. Over the months of March/April the Foundation sends the corresponding tax certificates with the amounts contributed the previous year to be given to the tax advisor.
